The flood took everything. In a single night, the home we had built over years was gone — the water rose so fast we could only grab the children and run. By morning we had nothing: no food, no dry clothes, no idea what to do next.

CEVF arrived within 48 hours. I will never forget seeing them come. They brought food, medicine, and dry clothes — the basic things that suddenly meant survival. But they did not just leave supplies and drive away like others did.

They stayed a month. They helped us clean, helped us rebuild, helped us find our footing again. They sat with us, listened to us, and never once made us feel like we were a burden.

Standing beside you, not above you — that is what they did for us. I will carry that with me forever.
